Just Some Thoughts

The specific illicit drugs that had the highest levels of past year dependence or abuse in 2009 were marijuana (4.3 million), pain relievers (1.9 million), and cocaine (1.1 million). The number of persons with marijuana dependence or abuse has not changed since 2002, but the number with pain reliever dependence or abuse has increased (from 1.5 million to 1.9 million) and the number with cocaine dependence or abuse has declined (from 1.5 million to 1.1 million). I find it odd at times when I hear people say, ” It is just marijuana!” People can use a variety of things in a way that make them harmful. Sodas, too much exercise, work. But when a substance alters the way your mind works in anyway without a doctor overseeing it can it really be JUST MARIJUANA?
